New case study – Leading distributor

We have released our latest case study. Keymas working with a leading distributor to maximise throughput and efficiency. The case study looks at a project that Keymas carried out using our own K-Store system.
“Having gone through the process of recently acquiring one of its largest competitors, the customer came to the conclusion that the existing warehouse was just not large enough to handle the doubling of the capacity, that was now visualised with the new acquisition. Something had to be done and there were two options: build a completely new warehouse, or modernise the existing one which had seen them in good stead for many years.”

IMHX 2010 show

The 2010 International Material HandlingExhibition was a success. Keymas had a stand showcasing the latest projects and concepts with video.

We are all ready for the IMHX 2010 show at NEC next week. We are taking our stand on the Tuesday and will be there to talk to attendees about how their warehouse automation, conveyor systems and logistics systems can be made more efficient and more effective.

Effectively utilise all the available space in your warehouse through the usage of overhead space in order to achieve an increase in usable warehousing whilst maintaining the same footprint.

This is what integrated materials handling calls multiple flooring. By using a mezzanine floor usable warehouse space can be significantly increased without incurring all the costs that accompany building a new warehouse or building warehouse extensions. Warehouse operations can significantly increase the amount of storage, handling, production and automation through inserting a number of levels.

How does this work?

Integrated materials handling allows a box or product to be scanned and automatically assigned to the correct level. The automated system then manages using a mixed floor system, efficiently using each floor to store, manage and despatch products.
