Spiral conveyors
We can help you save space and improve efficiency with our spiral conveyor solutions
SPIRAL CONVEYOR SYSTEMS
Spiral conveyors are an effective way to transport items, totes or boxes between floors. They are sometimes called virtical conveyors or corkscrew conveyors as they use a conveyor belt to take the items up and down between levels. Spiral conveyors offer two key advantages – they’re great at saving space and they’re ideal to accumulate and merge product lines. If you are looking for a spiral conveyor as standalone or as part of a conveyor system then our design team can work with your ideas and help design a solution to work with your needs.

Space saving
Cost effective space utilisation is important when running a warehouse or production facility. Keymas can offer a range of spiral conveyor solutions to deal with storage facilities over more than one level. This means if you build a mezzanine floor or expand your operations vertically, we can help automate the movement of goods between each level.
Merging and accumulation conveyors
Spiral conveyors can merge picked products from multiple levels into a single line for packing, allowing buffering between different processes or packing, and making optimum use of warehouse floor space.
With the integration of zero-pressure accumulation rollers, spiral conveyors can also hold products in distinct, independently controlled zones. This accumulation of products allows buffering between loads for greater flow control, and the ability to batch loads for dispatch.
There are various types of spiral conveyor systems to meet your warehouse needs:
Continuous chain-slat spiral conveyor:
A continuous chain-slat, controlled by one drive unit. It is easily installed and

operated, and provides a dependable method of transporting goods from one level to the next.
Helix belt spiral conveyor:
Offers the dependability of a continuous chain-slat conveyor, with accumulation functionality. Comprised of 90 and 180 degree conveyor sections belted together, each piece has an independent drive, facilitating photo eyes for product accumulation.
Duel lane spiral conveyor:
Allows more than one product line to be elevated, whilst attached to a singular central column, providing a cost and space saving solution.
Spiral conveyor with multiple merge points:
Goods can be merged on and off the spiral conveyor. Items can be picked from various levels and transported to another level for sorting and packing - perfect for the pick process.
Spiral chutes:
Gravity aided shutes allow goods to be fed from level to level. These are ideal for the shipping area of your facility.
